NILLUMBIK PRIZE FOR CONTEMPORARY ART

Emma is thrilled to be a finalist, with her work, ‘hybrid models for the future’, in the Nillumbik Prize for Contemporary Art for 2025, selected as one of 34 finalists from 468 entries across Australia.

The Nillumbik Prize for Contemporary Art (NPCA) is open to artists across Australia, working in any medium. The winning work of the biennial prize will be awarded $20,000 and acquired into the Nillumbik Shire Art Collection.

This years esteemed judges are: Dr Vincent Alessi, Director and CEO, Linden New Art, Dr Kiron Robinson, Artist and Acting Head of School of Art, VCA, Uni of Melb, Sophie Travers, Director/CEO, Australian Tapestry Workshop.

Thank you also to the shortlisting judges Matt Cox, Curator of Asian Art, Art Gallery of New South Wales; Gail Harradine, Wotjobaluk, Jadawadjali, Djubagalk, Curatorial Manager, Koorie Heritage Trust and Patrice Sharkey, Head of Exhibitions and Programs, Tarrawarra Museum of Art.

The Finalist exhibition will be presented at Montsalvat across three Gallery spaces from Friday 4 April - Sunday 25 May, 2025.
