Coulter was selected from a national pool of applicants, as one of twenty emerging artists for Sydney Artmonth ‘speed dating’ with a variety of Sydney based curators and galleries. From this event she was then chosen as one of six artists, including Tega Brain, Belem Lett, Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran, Katie Turnbull and Rafaela Pandolfini to participate in the finalists exhibition curated by Sebastian Goldspink at Depot Two, Waterloo, Sydney.

Exploring reduction, abstraction, flat colour and gesture simultaneously, these compositions exhibited, extend a series of works first made during her residency in Berlin, Germany in 2011.
