VISCERALITY SOLO EXHIBITION, 2011
Kunstraum Tapir, Friedrichshain, Berlin, Germany
In mid 2011, Coulter, undertook a 6 month residency in Berlin, Germany, at Takt Kunstprojektraum, producing a gestural based body of work, at the end of her residency. Thoughts, feelings and emotions of her travels, life and surrounding influences are conveyed in the works through her signature bright colour palette. Coulter’s solo exhibition, ‘viscerality’ was shown at Kunstraum Tapir, Friedrichshain, Berlin, Germany.
During her residency, fellow Australian photographer, Megan Cullen captured some of the spirit and energy in the studio through images, which are included below amongst images of artworks and installation views.
This period of time was a transformative time for the artist, during an intense and immersive chapter in her practice.
